Hill Country Christmas

We went to Schlitterbahn's Hill Country Christmas. Brynn went ice skating for the very first time. It was good Christmas fun and they did a really good job with all the lights. My favorite were the singing trees on the river that changed lights!

Videos of Brynn ice skating:

Camdyn: 7 months

It is hard to believe that my baby girl is 7 months old!! She has such a sweet dispostion!! She is so happy and very patient. She has two little bottom teeth that appeared at 6 months. She has been sitting on her own since 6 months and she is starting to crawl....not the full fledge belly off the floor, on all fours all the time, but she is working on it. And if you are lucky she waves hi to you! She weighs in around 17 pounds.

She has been eating baby food for about a month and seems to like it....although she wasn't too fond when she first started!!
Trying carrots for the first time.

Brynn's favorite thing to do first thing in the morning is to lay with Camdyn in her bed. She always asks to lay with sissy. It is such a wonderful sight to see how much these two love eachother already. I hope they will grow up being best friends. Sisters are such a blessing!!

Here are two videos: one trying to get her to wave to the camera and watching her get to her bottle.

HO HO HO

We went and saw Santa for the first time this year and this is the first year Brynn did NOT scream and cry!! Yay Brynn!! She was a little hesitant at first, but who wouldn't be when someone tells you to go sit on some stranger's lap!?! Camdyn was her usual happy, smiley self. A picture of two smiling girls sitting on Santa's lap....I can't believe it!!

Shamu, Shamu

We took Bumpa and Nana to Sea World. We got to see Shamu, dolphins, horses, sharks, penguins, and the Polar Express in 4D. Lots of fun!!

We have passes to Sea World and Brynn just LOVES Shamu.....hard to believe this is the same girl who was scared to death the first time we went to the shamu show. She had her head buried in Brent's shoulder and you couldn't even pry her out of his arms!! But she has come to love him and asks to go see him all the time. She also likes the dolphins and the penguins to which she always says "penguins like snow" in this sing song voice.

On her very favorite ride, the log ride. She was not scared one bit the first time she went on with me. She asks to ride it again and again.

Thanksgiving '08

I have A LOT to be thankful for this year. Here are some pictures of the girls taken by our good friend Bob.

Brynn is obsessed with Uncle Jordan.....obsessed!! All I hear is "I wanna see Jordan" over and over again!!

Brynn and Cooper playing. As soon as Brynn saw this "barn" she was asking to see all the animals on the farm. Poor girl didn't know it was just a fancy red shed, with the only animal around being a dog!!

My Hero

For those of you that don't know, Brent received an award the other night during the San Antonio Rampage hockey game. Brent and three colleagues were awarded bravery medals from the Sons of the American Revolution for saving somebody during a fire. They said that was only the second time in 23 years these medals were given out in San Antonio. Brent of course acts like it is no big deal.....but of course it is. He is putting his life in danger to save someone else.......that's heroic to me.

Torch Relay '08

Here are some pictures from the Torch Relay. It was my first time to run this and I have to say because of the circumstances it was more of a walk......but all the money went to a good cause. Brynn had fun dancing to the music at the end. Thank you to all who supported me!!

I'm a big girl now!!

We are happy to announce that Brynn is potty trained! YAY Brynn!! About two weeks ago we started getting her to sit on the potty and go pee whenever we were home. She was doing really well but if we went somewhere it was so much easier to put a diaper on her, so I did. Well after talking to my friend Jessica about how she was going to try the 3 day potty training, I decided that it was time to get serious. Don't get me wrong, I wanted her to be potty trained but it is a lot of work and I was just being lazy. So on monday morning we said good bye to all diapers and hello to big girl panties. We had to commit to staying home for three days in a row (which is harder than you think) and had to be by her side at all times.....we did LOTS of coloring!! She has done wonderfully and has had only three accidents (all when Brent or I were out of the room) this whole week!! She even sleeps in her underwear for naptime and at night. I am looking forward to not spending money on diapers but I am not looking forward to frequenting public bathrooms with grabby little fingers.....GROSS!! and dragging poor Camdyn in with us! She is officially a big girl now.
Sitting on her Winnie the Pooh Potty.
Check out this outfit......maybe I could start a fashion trend!!

Trick or Treat

We had a very good Halloween. Brynn was Minnie Mouse and Cam was a ballerina. Unfortunately Brent had to work. We started out the night by going to dinner with Mimi and Wade, who was dressed up as the joker, and boy did he look scary!! We went by Brent's station so he could see the girls, than we made a couple of stops at relatives houses. Finally we ended the night with some trick or treating. Brynn was really liking it and had a lot of fun. She made a friend at practically every house we went to!

Happy Halloween!!

My Li'l Pumpkin

Here are pics of the famous baby in the pumpkin. She didn't mind it at all and was her usual happy self. I couldn't decide which picture I liked best so I had to post a couple!

Isn't she just the sweetest thing?!

Sisterly love.

Brynn's obsession.
